really rough guys. i stopped writing the text part way through, but always added a couple words so you know where i think the text would look good. Lemme know if there are any corrections. super rough guys. haha
i think we should keep them small. its not important what size they are. haha also, I apologize for having some of the boards out of order. will try to organize them a bit more haha
I think we should go with Bunny's suggestion. :\ I think it would be a good idea to make them bigger and keep the cow and the pig because that was a comment that was spent a lot of time on on Friday. I mean, like they said, the ideas are good, and they'll still work with them being human size. :)
I think they should stay small. From the people I have talked to the juxtaposition of the characters of the rabbit/rat blah to the text makes it more humorous and fun and less...boring.
Bunny and courtney DID give us the ok as long as we represent it in a way that calls out the changes. Children are not as dumb as they are making them out to be. This gives it more whimsy and sparkle. If we used a cow and a pig there really would be no point to having the trolls as both animals are not nocturnal and wouldn't work.
They said to maybe have little call outs in the book, at the bottom or in a corner like a little troll saying "bunny cow? " or something to clarify what represents the cow or pig.
This is our chance to do something fun rather than just go along with the safest idea. We can get some awesome portfolio pieces from this. Anyway, the decision should really be up to the people using the animals in their work since it will be affecting them the most.
I also agree with Eryn. The idea of a makeshift world just seems a lot more appealing and enticing than if everything was normal sized. It gives kids more stimulation to try and figure out what everything is supposed to represent and they can really buy into that stuff because little kids do the same thing when they try to build forts and things for themselves. Making everything tiny makes things relatable to that age range.
lol. Ok for crits. I am not sure if the compositions are dynamic enough yet. I know its book for but I think it would be beneficial to include more depth within the scenes.
I agree with Cody. I think it's mostly the cellar and butter churn part that seems the least dynamic. So I don't know how you would want to approach that.
Okie dokie. Would you guys at all be interested in designing some cool machinery for those shots? there is a lot of space to do some designy work (was my intention). If not, I can make the shots more dynamic
Holy Hell you pumped those out fast.
ReplyDeleteSuper cool.
What do you guys think about Bunnys recommendation about them being big?

I like them small because I can design something else rather than a regular house. Miniature Houses seems more fun to do than big houses.
